- Biographical Details:
- He spent his life between Modena and Brescia. In 1523 he underwent an inquisitorial trial in Modena. He was accused of following the opinions of Pomponazzi, thus denying the immortality of the soul but also not to attribute value to the mass. Excommunicated, he got two papal Brief of absolution, which canceled his excommunication. Sassi died in 1527, in Longiano, a village of the Romagna (Italy) to which he was appointed governor.
