- Biographical Details:
- Captain (n. 1418 - m. Calliano 1487); first in the service of Francesco Sforza, Duke of Milan, therefore of Ludovico il Moro. As General Captain of the Republic of Venice, he was sent to aid the Pope during the conspiracy of the Barons, and took command of the papal army. Besieged in Rome (1486), he had to capitulate. Reconciled with Ferdinand I, he reduced to obedience Calabria mainland. Back in Venice, he commanded the Venetian troops in the war against Sigismund of Habsburg, and fell in the battle of Calliano.
